NEW HERE?

We are so glad you visited today. We would love to meet you sometime soon. Any questions you may have about Newport Center United Methodist Church should be answered in the video or information below. Thanks again for stopping by. We hope to see you soon!

WHAT TYPE OF CHURCH IS NEWPORT CENTER UNITED METHODIST?

Newport Center United Methodist Church is all about helping people find and follow Jesus. We believe it is possible for church to be the highlight of the week for the entire family. We know this happens when we focus everything on Jesus and connect in community.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE SERVICES?

Service times are Sunday mornings at 8 AM and 10 AM at 1601 Marguerite Avenue Corona del Mar, CA 92625. You can also join us online at 9 AM on Facebook!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Come dressed comfortably (shirt and shoes required, of course!); you'll see everything from jeans and golf shirts to dresses, coats and ties. Most people wear something akin to what you might call "Southern California casual." After all, you may want to hit the beach after worship. Mostly, come in what makes you feel comfortable. We welcome everyone.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

You'll find that when you visit us on a typical Sunday morning, the atmosphere is very casual and friendly. You'll be greeted at the door by our greeters and one of our ushers will give you a bulletin that has information about our church and the Order of Worship for the service. From there, you're welcome to take a seat anywhere you like. Don't be afraid to ask someone a question if you have one.

WHAT IS A SERVICE LIKE?

We have two in-person worship times: 8 AM and 10 AM. Our 8 AM Sunday morning service is a quiet, reflective, and slightly less-formal service; it is shorter in length and much smaller in numbers than our second service. Our 10 AM Sunday morning service has something for everyone. We have Sunday School for children and youth and nursery care for infants. At the main worship service, we have a blend of traditional and modern worship elements. You'll find traditional hymns, sermons with a biblically-relevant message, a choir that can sing everything from Brahms to gospel, and all sorts of other surprises.

We also have online worship via Facebook on Sunday mornings at 9 AM!

HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?

Newport Center United Methodist Church is all about connecting with God and each other. There are three main ways to get connected: attend a service, join a Bible study, and volunteer. If you haven’t already, take the first step and simply join us for a service.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

At Newport Center United Methodist Church we love kids! From infants to high school students, we have done our best to help your children have a blast while learning about Jesus. If you would like to have your kids participate in our nursery or Sunday School programs, look for our "Children's Ministry" table on the patio where you'll meet our Children's Ministry staff and register your kids for Sunday School. Volunteers will be available to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Learn more about what we offer for your kids below.
