WHAT MY JOB REALLY MEANS: I get to direct the music program at Newport Center! I work with the choir and other musicians to strengthen our relationship with Christ and lift up the congregation.

WHAT'S THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB: The people! I love making music with people and am excited to get to know the choir and congregation.

FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD: I love Vienna! It is so beautiful and full of music. I also love all of the natural beauty of California. I love the Sierra Nevadas, the beaches and everything in between.

BIBLICAL CHARACTER OTHER THAN JESUS YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE COFFEE WITH (because we all want to have coffee with Jesus right)?: Probably King David. I love the Psalms and take comfort in them. He was such an inspirational prophet, that it would be fascinating to hear about his life.

FAVORITE MUSIC: Anything done well. I have a special place in my heart for classical music, especially Beethoven and Bach. I also love Jazz, Hip Hop, Folk music, and some Rock.

FAVORITE BOOK: "The Brothers Karamazov," "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man," "Confederacy of Dunces," "East of Eden," etc...

FAVORITE FOOD: Sushi! I also love a great burrito. I love to BBQ and cook in general.
